The Badminton section of the TSG Concordia Schönkirchen organizes its popular tournament for young players from Germany and its neighbourcountries since 1975. In its beginning there was a small tournament within a gym with only four courts. Very soon our tournament became very popular within the whole Federal Republic. We made friendships, which still last today.

There are more than 250 children, who participate in fair competition within an atmosphere of friendship and cosmopolitian attitudes each year. They compete for 22 titles in five age groups.

In four age groups there will be single, double and mixed double diciplines. For the youngest players there only single events. This tournament is suitable for popular and also for international players.

Not only the winners of an event, but also the secend and third placed participants receive price money, gifts and a medal. There are further prices for the best clubs and the best players.

It is an team of eight to ten people, which is involved in preparation the whole year. "The first day after a tournament is the first day before the next tournament.". So the organizers always try to improve this event and react on critisism. We draw our conclusions to reach best quality.

The youth of our club is also involved in organization and preparation to continue on a high standard - also in future times.

A very important part of this event is the very positive support through our section, the local community and trade. Without the gentle finacial aid of our sponsors, this event could not be carried out. Thank you very much.
